Dear Partners, Thank you for your continued support of the Web3 Institute (project of VA2030). On behalf of the W3I team, I am pleased to send you our quarterly update, which summarizes our accomplishments in Q3 and our plans for Q4.
Crypto Adoption and Education
We are continuing our Educational programming under a two-year program that includes various projects such as “Crypto Literacy” and Training for Teachers. You can find more about the planned educational programs here:

Research
Our team is completing and initiating multiple research papers with the goal establishing a comprehensive and transparent view of Web3 in Ukraine.
- We’re supporting and will attend First IEEE UA DLT Forum (Oct 27-29, online) where we’ll present our researches and present the institute program. We invite you to join it (registration) and connect with the academy and industry leaders there.
- Web3 for Ukraine: Talk to founders. Primary research was conducted with 50 start-ups and founders in Ukraine to map the landscape of activity within and related to Ukraine. The research helped to identify the needs and blockers of founders. It’s going to be published soon and presented on First IEEE UA DLT Forum (Oct 27-29, online)
- Сase studies of DLT implementations Ukraine government – we’re preparing a material researching existent government supported pilots in auctions, supply chain and more that happened over last years in Ukraine.
- Plurality: Technology For Collaborative Diversity And Democracy – we’re working on the Ukranian Translation of the plurality.net book by Glen Weyl and Audrey Tang, the first part of the translation is published. Glen would join the First IEEE UA DLT Forum to make a presentation with our team.
- We’re also researching the state of formal and informal crypto/DLT education in Ukraine from the perspective of educators and learners; interim results alongside with a call for educators to participate in in will be presented on First IEEE UA DLT Forum (Oct 27-29, online) as a part of Valeriia’s fellowship at Ethereum Foundation.
Organizational updates
We had several new team members join the W3I in Q3:
Our new team members significantly expand our capacity to deliver research, projects and programming with and for institutional and private sector stakeholders. We would also like to thank Yulia Parhomneko, Liliia Tulupenko, and Olha Osinska from the Ministry of Digital Transformation who are essential in delivering for government stakeholders. Over Q4 we will continue to grow our team to assist with the execution of specific programming as it is designed and executed.
